  • Majic Quest photographed at the Spot-O-Faith Farm and Equine Rescue. This two year old Appaloosa filly was rescued from a 93 year old breeder that was no longer to care for her. The damage to her legs was caused when she was caught in a barbed wire fence (about a month before being brought to the rescue) and was left to heal on her own. She will be rehabilitated then available for adoption. Equine photography by Michael Kloth.

  • Parts of Washington are included in what is known as the Palouse. The Palouse is an agricultural zone encompassing southeastern Washington, northeastern Oregon, and north central Idaho. One of the primary crops is wheat. The region has rolling hills and has a long enough growing season that you can often see fields in various stages of growth from plowed fields, to green wheat, to golden wheat ready to harvest. This road is mostly used to access these sprawling wheat fields.

  • Infrared (IR) image - This image was made near Benton City out near the end of Keane Road in Eastern Washington. I liked the way the clouds seemed to flow around the mountain. The irrigation system is very common to the area. Eastern Washington has a robust agricultural business economy. As it is high desert with little annual rainfall, the crops rely on irrigation water from the Columbia, Yakima, and Snake rivers.
