Self portraiture is pretty much a given for beginning photography students. Despite the popularity of the #selfie, many students (and photographers in general) are hesitant to get in front of the camera. This portrait was made because it visually told the viewers something about me while limiting my presence in the frame. I'm pretty sure I was playing a simple version of the Ave Maria for the series.
